A practical guide

Export a QR as SVG when a print layout or design application needs a scalable vector. The modules are drawn as vector geometry with a viewBox and explicit dimensions. A chosen logo is embedded as a cleaned PNG, so the file remains self-contained instead of depending on a temporary browser URL or a remote image. The logo itself is still raster data; enlarging the vector QR does not invent additional detail in the logo.

The export is checked for unsafe SVG elements and external references, then rasterized locally for a decode check before download. Open the result in the design application you plan to use and verify its appearance, especially gradients and transparency. Do not remove the quiet zone while fitting the graphic to a layout. When the final destination accepts only a bitmap, choose PNG instead or convert at a suitable resolution. Keep a light background behind a transparent SVG, and scan the final print proof rather than relying only on the vector file's ability to scale.

Your inputs, styling and logo are processed in this browser. Generating a code does not upload them or contact the encoded destination. There is no account, saved history, QR tracking service or subscription. Loading this website still requests its static files from the host; opening a link after scanning is a separate action that can contact another service. Clearing the workspace removes its current content and image references, but does not promise a forensic wipe of browser memory or files you already downloaded.

Choose among PNG, SVG, JPEG and WebP in the export panel. JPEG cannot carry a transparent background and uses white instead. Use a clear, non-sensitive filename and keep the downloaded image somewhere appropriate for its content. The export button generates the latest revision directly; a separate preview click is not required. A local decode check compares the downloaded design with the encoded bytes. If it fails, the tool stops rather than silently shortening the content or lowering error correction.

Before distributing or printing, scan the actual exported file with a phone your audience uses. Verify both its content and the intended action. Scanning conventions and application behavior can differ, and a successful software decode is not a universal camera guarantee. Retain enough surrounding space, use a light background and keep a copy of the source details so you can regenerate a static code when those details change.

Frequently asked questions

Does QR Studio upload my content?

No. Encoding, logo cleanup and output checking take place in your browser. Static website files are requested from the host, but your entered content is not sent.

Can I change a QR after printing it?

No. These are static codes with their content encoded directly. Regenerate the image when the content changes. A page you own can change while its URL stays the same.

What file formats are available?

PNG, SVG, JPEG and WebP. JPEG uses a white backdrop instead of transparency. Format availability depends on the browser, and failed exports are not renamed as another format.

Does the decode check guarantee every phone will scan it?

No. It checks the actual file against the encoded content. Real phone cameras, scanner apps, print sizes and backgrounds still need testing.
